Shekhar Kallianpur was born into a staunch Hindu Saraswat Brahmin family — one of the highest castes in India. His father was a renowned Hindu high priest and astrologer, and his grandfather a respected numerologist. The path before him was clear: follow in the footsteps of generations of religious leadership within the Hindu tradition.
But God had a different plan.
In 1979, at the age of 17, Shekhar Kallianpur experienced a radical encounter with Jesus Christ. This transformative moment shattered the boundaries of caste, tradition, and expectation. He accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, leaving behind the Hindu beliefs in soul rebirth to embrace the atonement and grace found in Christ alone.

That decision at 17 ignited a fire that has never gone out. Today, Shekhar Kallianpur stands as one of India's most respected voices in Christian ministry — a preacher, evangelist, and pastor whose message of hope and spiritual empowerment resonates across continents.

Family
Shekhar and his wife Lavina Kallianpur serve together in ministry, building a legacy of faith. They are blessed with two children — Anushka and Anugrah — who continue to carry the family's passion for God's work.
Together, the Kallianpur family embodies the ministry's vision: that every home can become an altar of worship, every heart a sanctuary for the Holy Spirit.
